For the past few days, before the school started, I had been a drooling mess. I can't focus on anything, my work and I don't feel like doing anything, except just lie on the bed and watch the ceiling.
In school, I felt like I need to bring myself back into myself again, so I tried my best to focus on the class.
But there is one particular place, where I am focused, and just feel like doing my job and giving my best shot. At this place, all my attention is on doing my job right and all I am concentrated on is the game. At this place, I get confident and became alive again. At this place, I don't want any of my friends to look down on me, and neither do I want to get embarressed. This place is, the court.
On the court, I am sweating, I have the ball, and all I want to get the ball into the rim, I pull a crossover of my defender, he wasn't biting on it, clearly it was a weak crossover, so I drove left and pass it to a teammate. I wasn't having the right feel in my hands so I knew I am not going to score the shot, so I just passed, even if I had the chance to shoot.
Basketball is one sport that is competitive, aggressive and full of surprised. This sport gave me confident and gave me something I should work for. I started out as a player that rarely handles the ball in the game into a forward, and sometimes even as a center. I know I can't play very well, but I tried, and every time I score a shot after getting pass a defender, my confident builds up, and I just keep trying and keep trying, because I am confident with my shot, which is essential for becoming a better player.
On the court, it is very important to give 110% of attention on every thing around you, and knowing everything that is happening on the court. It is important to know your own potentials and be confident no matter how great a player is playing defense on you.
On the court, I tell myself I can do it. And I just want to hear the beautiful sound of how the ball hit the net after you score.
On the court, I don't think spectacular shots are the best part of the game. The best part is using every second the way it is worth and not regret of anything you did. The best is the cooperation between teammates and won the game together, knowing that you contributed to the victory. The best part is, shooting buckets.
Basketball is a part of my life now, and the court will always be one of the most important places for me to be in. No matter what happens in my future, the basketball court will always be a place I will go, because I will become a casual player. The court will be an important place for me, my life, because on the court I can feel everything is possible.
