1. Describe how you contributed to your team, what did you do, were their any major contributions you are especially proud of?
- I gave my opinions and provided ideas for my time. I also looked at the problems of the designs and suggested what could be better.
2. Did your team apply the EDP successfully? (i.e. did you identify the problem & constraints, brainstorm solutions, test and prototype a solution, refine the design).
- No, because we didn't calculate the trajectory and the arc of our catapult properly and we didn't fire the paper as far as we actually could, so there are still problems in our design that
3. What changes did your team make to your design?
- We made the structure of our catapult stronger so that it won't break easily, however, we didn't change the design of our catapult.
4. what worked well in your design? Identify what did not work so good.
- Our structure is very strong, and we used the the spring to be the source of power for our catapult. What didn't work well is that we cannot control the arc of our catapult very properly so it is very difficult to get a good arc.
5. Describe any energy conversions/forces/motions/Newton’s laws that apply to a catapult mechanism.
- The potential energy stored inside the spring is used to fire the catapult, when we pull the spring, the potential energy is stored and when we fire, the energy is converted into kinetic energy.
